Reclaimed Antique Timbers

At the time of its completion in 1887, ‘Old Globe Number 1’ was the largest grain elevator in the world. After many years of loyal service, the ‘Old Globe’ is now being disassembled – board by board, timber by timber.

Reclaimed Pine, Oak, and Doug Fir Timbers

The Old Globe Elevator was constructed almost entirely out of OLD GROWTH EASTERN WHITE PINE harvested in the 1880’s near the shores of Lake Superior. OAK timbers and DOUG FIR timbers were also used. All of these POST AND BEAM TIMBERS are now available for sale in a variety of dimensions from 6” x 6” to 12” x 14” in lengths to 20’+.

Rescued White Pine Timbers

Originally milled in 1987, these White Pine Timbers have been air drying ever since. They have never been used. Most are weathered grey from outdoor storage. Condition varies.
